GE Oil & Gas Zenith® Fluid Loss Relief Valve The Zenith Fluid Loss Relief Valve (FLRV) is a development of the field-proven Auto Flow Valve (AFV), configured as a fluid loss valve with pump-through capability, used for fluid loss applications and maintenance of defined fluid head in the tubing. In the FLRV configuration, the side ports are normally closed, with the main poppet acting as the fluid loss device. The valve is configured with a cracking pressure at manufacture, allowing fluids to be pumped past the valve through the side ports. By applying a pressure differential across the valve, the poppet seats and the side pistons pump open a sleeve, opening the side ports — cracking pressure can be adjusted to suit the particular application. When injection is stopped, the valve will return to its default position as a fluid loss device. Static seal friction is utilised to eliminate shuttling. The FLRV may be installed as part of the tubing string, or suspended below a packer, bridge plug or lock mandrel. Interventionless operation as no control lines or wireline intervention is required.
