Specifically, we offer a robust training program that provides oil production employees involved in the operation, maintenance and repair of pumping units with hands-on and technical training in the operation and maintenance of the company's Lufking Pumping units.
The training program covers:
- Design and manufacture of Lufkin pumping units
- Safety around a pumping unit
- Setting of a pumping unit
- Operating the pumping unit
- Counterbalance adjustment
- Lubricating the unit
- Pumping unit stroke change
- Structural bearing assembly
- Preventative maintenance
- Trouble-shooting techniques
- Technical calculations for equipment selection are not a regular part of training but available, upon request

Training takes place at the GE Oil & Gas Lufkin Service Center, located at 7601 East I-20, Odessa, Texas, 79765 U.S.A.
Tuition is $1,100.00 USD per person and includes local transportation, training materials, noon meals, and certificate of completion.
Register early. Maximum enrollment is 18 students. Enrollment is on a first-come basis.
