AbdulHameed Al-Rushaid is Executive Director, Drilling & Workover, a position he has held since July 2016. He joined Saudi Aramco in 1988 as a Production Engineer. Dr. Fatih Birol took office as Executive Director on 1 September 2015, twenty years after first joining the International Energy Agency (IEA). Prior to being elected as Executive Director, Dr. Birol held the positions of Chief Economist and Director of Global Energy Economics. He is also the founder and Chair of the IEA Energy Business Council and is the Chairman of the World Economic Forum’s (Davos) Energy Advisory Board. A Turkish citizen, Dr. Birol earned a BSc degree in power engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul. He received his MSc and PhD in energy economics from the Technical University of Vienna. In 2013, Dr. Birol was awarded a Doctorate of Science honoris causa by Imperial College London.

Arnaud Breuillac graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 1981. Lorenzo Simonelli is President and CEO of GE Oil & Gas and has served in this role since 2013. In early 2015 he transformed the company’s business strategy and structure to better help GE’s customers cope with the industry downturn. Mr. Simonelli serves as an industry thought leader, speaking at numerous events including CERA Week, Offshore Technology Conference and World Energy Congress. Previously, Mr. Simonelli served as President and CEO of GE Transportation. He graduated with a degree in business and economics from Cardiff University in South Wales.

Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin

Datuk Wan Zulkiflee bin Wan Ariffin took stewardship of PETRONAS, a Fortune Global 500 company, on 1 April 2015. An engineer by training, he has served the Malaysian oil and gas giant in various positions since 1983, including as Chief Operating Officer of PETRONAS in addition to being the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Downstream Business. Besides holding various directorships in the industry, he is a Council Member of the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), Chairman of the ECERDC’s Audit Committee, Chairman of the National Trust Fund and Industry Advisor to the Engineering Faculty of Universiti Putra Malaysia. In 2005, he was conferred an Honorary Fellowship by the Institution of Chemical Engineers, United Kingdom.
