2 StatoilHydro Frame Agreements

GE’s Oil & Gas business has secured two frame agreements to supply compression equipment and services to StatoilHydro, a leading global energy group based in Norway.

GE’s relationship with Statoil dates back to the 1970s with the supply of compressors for the North Sea Statfjord platform. The new contracts cover delivery of complete gas turbine (10-60 MW) and electric motor-driven compressor sets (with discharge pressures of 250+ bar), compressor revamp bundles, commissioning, capital and operational spares for high-pressure gas re-injection applications, plus services and maintenance activities for new and existing machines.

Equipment will be manufactured at GE’s facilities in Florence and Massa, Italy, which include massive full-load testing capabilities that considerably reduce installation and operation risks. Shipments are expected to begin in early 2009, with first start-ups anticipated for 2010-2011.
