World Energy Congress
WHEN: November 11-15, 2007
WHERE: Rome, Italy
The 20TH World Energy Congress and Exhibition will be an exciting four days of round tables, technical visits, youth and social programs, tours and other collateral events. The event is promoted by the World Energy Council, a UN-accredited, non-profit NGO, that aims to foster economic development and sustainable energy.
This is the first WEC in 15 years to be held in Europe – and the first time ever in Italy.
This year's congress focuses on the future of energy in an interdependent world, and encourages open debate about sustainable industrial development – including social issues in emerging countries and the role of leading industrialized nations to help improve the energy quality for a better life and environment.
GE's Chairman & CEO, Jeffrey Immelt, will deliver a Special Address titled Breakthrough Technologies That Will Achieve Sustainable Energy Development In 2030.
