Offshore Europe Recap
WHEN: September 4-7, 2007
WHERE: Aberdeen, Scotland

With over 1,400 exhibitors in attendance, the 2007 Offshore Europe exhibition was a unique environment in which to browse, discuss and assess technologies form a wide variety of companies. The global audience included some of the industry's most influential leaders and decision makers, legislators and policy makers. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss directions for the future.
It was also a particularly exciting event for our organization because it was the first tradeshow VetcoGray attended as part of the GE Oil & Gas business.
Joint showcase items included:
- VE-MEC (Mecon connector)
- MagneScan™ and UltraScan™ CD pipeline inspection tools with caliper and mapping capabilities
- Elgin Franklin High Pressure High Temperature tree
- Troll C subsea separation model
- PCS 1000 subsea control module
- Nexen/Buzzard tree
We also announced a new contract for the upgrade of four gas turbine compression trains for the Statfjord oil field in the North Sea. GE will provide new compressor internals for four trains in each of Statoil’s existing B and C platforms; the trains will be dedicated to recompression and gas lift services.
Thanks to all who visited us at the show. We look forward to the next OE.
