New Optimization and Control Customer Application Centers

Many GE Oil and Gas customers are also users of GE's condition monitoring and control products, such as Bently Nevada™ vibration monitoring systems, System 1 software, and Mark™ series control systems. These products complement our GE Oil and Gas portfolio and have the added benefit of being broadly applicable to the machinery you may already be using, whether supplied originally by GE or others.

In order to give existing and potential customers easier access to hands-on demonstrations of these technologies, a number of Optimization and Control Customer Application Centers (CACs) have been established globally. The European CAC is conveniently co-located with our GE Oil and Gas facilities at the Florence Learning Center. CACs have also recently been opened in Houston, Moscow, Singapore, and Shanghai, with locations in Brazil and the United Arab Emirates slated for 2008.

When visiting our Florence facility, we encourage you to also plan on spending time in the CAC for an overview of instrumentation and software solutions designed to help optimize the operation of your plant and machinery, ranging from advanced control solutions that integrate turbine control with compressor control, to powerful remote monitoring and diagnostic solutions, to revolutionary new wireless condition monitoring capabilities designed to address balance-of-plant equipment. Some CACs, such as Houston and Moscow, also feature demonstation capabilities for GE's advanced oil and gas downhole exploration technologies from the Reuter Stokes product line. These products will be of interest to customers with upstream activities that involve drilling.
